The First Podcast Ever?
Talk about oxymoron’s first episode release. Share the experience
We recorded our first podcast episode in Edmonton in 2018. One of our biggest challenge was looking for a podcast studio in Edmonton, although there were alot of music recording studios in Edmonton there were non dedicated to broadcasting or podcasting. So we decided to try out the Edmonton Public Library, after recording our first episode we realized it wouldn’t work because they did not have the right equipment’s needed to run a successful podcast.
We decided to go the DIY route which must content creators eventually choose, we started of with $20 microphones bought of amazon and then our journey began and subsequently bought more equipment’s them more money we made.
This was the catalyst for why we opened up a podcast studio because we all wished something like this existed when we started and we absolutely believe that we would be so much more ahead in the game if we didn’t have to worry about where to record, learning how to edit audio podcast, or even having someone who to consult with to teach us the do’s and don’ts.
